Behavioral Specialist

The Phoenix Central School District is seeking interested applicants to fill an anticipated vacancy working with students at Michael A. Maroun Elementary School (PreK- 4th grade) for a probationary, full-time Behavioral Specialist beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must hold valid New York State certification appropriate to their assigned duties. Certifications in areas such as Special Education, Elementary Education, School Counseling, School Social Work, School Psychology, or other related New York State certification are preferred. Experience supporting students with behavioral, social-emotional, and/or developmental needs is strongly preferred.

The Phoenix Central School District is currently accepting applications for substitute bus drivers. Candidates must be 21 years of age and possess a clean, valid driver’s license. CDL B preferred, but not required. There is paid training to obtain a CDL B for the right candidates. Candidates should have the ability to perform cleaning tasks, follow oral and written instructions and use hand and power cleaning equipment. Must be flexible with hours, as shifts vary. The Phoenix Central School District Food Service Department is currently looking for food service professionals who are available between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Successful candidates would start as a substitute in the Food Service Department and can apply for a permanent employment as positions become available.
