EJD Students Work on Empty Bowls Project for Erin's Angels, District Art Show

The Phoenix District Art Show is about one month away!
Beth Prichard and Brandi Finniss, art teachers at EJD Middle School, have been working with students after school this year to create pottery for a purpose. Students in grades 6-8 learned the basics of pottery, including how to throw clay on the wheel, form bowls and glaze them, to create bowls for Erin’s Angels Empty Bowls project.
The inspiration behind Empty Bowls is to create an empty bowl with the intention to fill someone else’s. This has given students both the opportunity to learn a new skill and to help those in their community in the process. All proceeds raised from the bowl sales will go directly to Erin’s Angels, providing food to students in need right in the Phoenix school district. Bowls will range in price from $5-$10 with a Cash & Carry raffle as well. Come out and support these art students and our Phoenix School community!
