34 JCB students inducted into National Honor Society

Thirty-four John C. Birdlebough High School students were recently celebrated for their achievements as they were inducted into the National Honor Society, highlighting the values of scholarship, leadership, service and character.
The evening was highlighted by a keynote address delivered by Brandon Munger, who shared inspiring words about leadership, integrity, and perseverance. Musical selections were performed by current NHS members Sonny Cannata, Bella Whitehead, Eden Grethel, and Michael Farnham, adding a special touch to the celebration.
NHS advisor Angie Neiss congratulated the inductees and lauded their achievements, both in the classroom and in the community.
“This honor serves as a testament to their hard work and the many choices and sacrifices they've made along the way,” Neiss said. “It is a moment for our school and community to come together and acknowledge their exceptional contributions.”
The inductees have contributed to their community through volunteer service at a variety of events, including the annual CROP Walk, the spring community cleanup, two blood drives, and the annual Oswego County Olympiad Invitational.
“I want you to know how extremely proud of you we are tonight; this accomplishment is one of which you should be proud as well, and one which drives you to continue on your path to greatness,” Principal Thomas Bailer said in closing.
